Ive got some 300mm discs with 4 pot calipers, I've been to the Reyland workshop to have them measured up inside my wheel, and its a bloody tight squeeze! He thought I'd need a 6mm (would get away with 5mm, but 6mm would be perfect) wheel spacer on each of the front wheels so the caliper doesn;t foul the spoke. Wheres the best place to pick some of these up? How much am I looking at?
Cheers!

Should be able to pick them up at the local car shop for a 10-20 quid.
Doubt its safe tho, might not support the wheel well enough...

running 195/45 tyres, so will be clear on the outside.
My wheels are only tiny 16's (Hence the 4 pots only just fit in with 300mm discs.)
If I was sticking the wheel out 10mm or more I'd be concerned about things. If it does fook things up, I'll sell my 16's and get some other 16's that will fit the calipers!

Would it therefore be an idea to space ALL the wheels out the same, would that help re-address the handling problem I may create?

I went for 5mm spacers when I got my 4-pots on but have managed to go down to 3mm which has taken me to ET42 rather than ET40.

if your going for 6mm spacers make sure you still kepp the hub location, if not ull need hubcentric spacers, cost a tad more then normal spacers.

Yup, handling was terrible with 5mm spacers (ET40) on mine too, which is why I went down to 3mm.
I really pity the fools that drive with offsets less than ET45. Mine's still not ideal, but I don't have much choice in the matter any more.

trim the calliper? (dare i say)
i had to use 3mm spacers on mine, 8 quid from local car shop
5mm didnt go on mine without longer bolts, and locking wheel nut didnt fit
so 3mm it was

You needed longer bolts on a 5mm spacer???
Normally 10s are the when you'd need longer bolts not 5s!

Wouldnt having a lower offset eg et40 rather than et45 be better for handling because it would make the car wider?

Hmmm....
I'm going to try 5mm spacers. If it handles like poo I'll try 3mm, but these calipers are quite a size!
Could an option be having something done to the inside of the spokes? Not liking the idea of crap handling!

No, the benfits of a wider track are outweighed by the steering and suspension geometry being altered.
