Last night somant fcuked the servers ! Came in this morning over 12500 files and folders were missing, users complaining, login scripts weren't working I was like  Anyway the back ups last night failed too must off happeneed around ish and at 8wen bakups started didn't work....!!
So have been running around trying to restore our system and im having a nightmare

Dont worry mate , all in time you will find it , Our exchange server went down 2 weeks ago and we are still without our main server 800 people have no mail , were using a backup server but have to go without our 200+ Mb mail that we use dayly

Bought new mother board, CPU, fan and heatsink, Memory and jus gonna use my exsisting Grafix card and hard disks...!
Cant decide if I need both DVD and DVDRW drive or jus the one and add another hard disk

Back up is restoring ok mate that worked fine, but the server jus went Have no clue no error message BTW its a Novel 6.5 Server not Windows !

Novel ?!!? if it was good old bill gates on the server i could understand it getting rid of loads of files but novel?
might be an idea to keep an eye on the server, its doesnt just go pop like that, especially on a novel box Although, just thinking about it, it could be a hardware fault....might be worth checking drive(s) etc?
oh wells....i wouldnt like to be in your shoes now mate especially when you have every other cunt moaning about the server going down (seen my bro get hassled when their internal intranet server goes pop...but its an old NT box and its bodged to shite with scripts that restart services every 10minutes )

I decided im gonna run a 40GB for Windows XP, a 160GB for shit and also the 120GB for shit, I will only be running a DVDRW not the DVD drive, so will sell that dont use it anyway tbh

I having a few phone calls but they are actually being really good bout it all cos they know im on my own

im talking about SATA/IDE drives, not USB external stuff  i would never have a external drive...just for the fact ive had problems with them and in the recording studio i have seen them get corrupted because of spikes (had an not to clean power feed, unlike the rest of the equipment ).
