Remember you turds that this is a 20 year old Nova, not a gay Corsa with ISO plugs.
Its indivdual wires, I have life and earth and have traced the four speaker wires that I want to have working. Now I have screwed them into the electrical connectors which is all good.
Now, how do I know what wires from the back of the stereo will work with the speakers (live and earth are easy and so is memory backup)
The speaker wires in the loom of the car are as follows
Right speaker
Brown wire - Yellow line
Brown wire
Left speaker
Brown wire - Blue line
Blue wire
Also, the wires on the back of the stereo do not match up the same colour as the ones in the loom
Thanking you

I feel I may have cracked it
On the back of the stereo there are four wires, on the right hand side there is a green solid wire, then a green wire with black line in it
So that should be for the left speaker, then on the right there is a purple wire with black line and a just a purple wire, they are underneath one another.
I shall give it a go, is it likely I am going to blow myself up?

it doesnt matter how the speakers are wires (since its an AC voltage which doesnt have a standard positive/negative feed), as long as both sides are equal, otherwise you will get a phasing effect, where the speakers are out of sync with each other

Yeah, it doesnt matter what speaker wires you use.
There is no power anyway, stereo is not coming on.
Need a voltmeter to check to see if there is power going through the red live wire.
