Alright folks..
The deal is that i need an engine mount for my C20XE corsa the one at the front on the drivers side! My mate said he can make me one up but what is best to start off with??? and has any1 got pics??
Cheers, hopefully someone will be bale to anwser this! also my car is a 1.4 SRI 8v at the moment

Use the one off of the donor car, or one off of an 8v Corsa. No need making one cos Vauxhall have already made them for ya...

i aint got a donar car! jus the engine and stuff!
are u sure the 8v corsa mount from my 1.4 SRI will work??? doesnt look like the holes will line up

you will also need to modify the rear gearbox mount so that it clears everything

So if ive got mounts from a 2.0 litre 8v and mounts from a 1.4 8v, what do i do then?

When fitting a 2.0 16v to a non PAS or 8v Corsa, you don't need the front engine mount. That comes straight from the Cossvaux advert on TV...

when u say dont need it what you mean?? jus use the ones on my 1400 8v SRI engine?? i need to be 110% sure about this cos i dont want the car off road, i want the conversion to be straight 4ward

i think what you are thinking about is the Vauxhall engine mount block which moves the mounting point unwards as the rubber mounting point on the 8v sits lower on the chas leg, so the bodywork mount moves it.
with ever 2lt 16v coverstion u need the engine mount for the drivers side.
as for the others u use standard passenger mount and standard gearbox mount,
you mod the gearbox one so u dont need the spacer and you dont need to extend the linkage
