I'm in uni now with a mate and we are stuck on the following maths exam question and cannot find an answer anywhere or even anything in the notes.
The marketing department belive that the sales decrease as the price increases and that the relationship is approximately linear. They estimate that they will sell 5000 units at a price of £1.10, but only 750 units if the price is increased to £1.50. Find the equation for sales in terms of price.

A decrease in total revenue collected from an increase in price is called 'elastic' demand, is this a homogenous product?

There are people on here who will help such as Ian. You never know what is going to come up in the exam so it's always best to even work out how to do something you don't know how to.
