Today was the rally supercar day, was really good; especially because of the scorching weather!
Got there about 9am and it was already busy, just in time to see a 205 GTi kill itself on the track! He managed to lose control and roll several times before catching on fire! (Pics below)
The stunt team were brilliant to watch, apparently they did all the stunt driving in the mini's for The italian job.
Obviously there was some wicked track action, some surprises included a nova; presumably with a 2.0 16v and a stripped and caged 106 XSi. Cars that impressed me on the track were most definitely the Focus RS and a Red CTR, also a black sierra cossie obiliterated everything on the straight.
Evo's owned the track though, a few were seriously hammering it and one was on three wheels round a few bends
Were some amazing cars everywhere, went along to the mitsubishi and subaru stands and we were in heaven

We didnt see it in detail, we were on the opposite corner and saw the shape of a car go off the track then just saw loads of smoke.

It was just about to go on the track which i really wanted to see but was pulled off because they were behind schedule because of the 205 crash

that poor 205
i walked all the way round the track to see what happened, but by the time i got there the car had been towed away.
story i was told was the engine blew up and spilled its guts all over the rack, the driver lost control, span and then rolled the car into the barriers near The Tower Corner. the impact actually broke the fencing which you can imagine has to be fairly strong...!
bloody hope the driver is ok after that.
apart from that, had a top day, got sunburned again!

lol i was looking forward to seeing the pics of that 205 GTi after you told me while i was at work. it is trully fucked!
Its cool when they have cars on 2 wheels. I've seen it done loads in the past, but only in crap bangers. But they must be pro to be doing it in nice coopers

does anybody know what lump the 'gwynnespeed' 106 had in it? that was rather rapid little car
also mr corsa5dr, why, when you ad all those wicked grou b rally slags, did u take pics of a corsa, nova, skyline, porsche etc etc?!?!?!?!

Not sure about that 106, was rather quick. Im guessing a GTi engine myself
I just took random pics mate wanted the nova because it was ace around the track, the corsa because it was a rally corsa The porches because its ace, and the skyline because its ace too. Wanted to take more pics but my digicam battery died

Well its an 1.4 XSi shell but dunno about the engine. Either highly tuned or an engine swop as it was quick on the straights as well as the bends.
