what career path did you nearly take up, but chose something else at last minute
i was nearly in the Marines, did my training, got offered a place but decided to go fireproofing as the money was stupidly good, now have my own fireproofing and intumescent spraying firm

I was going to join the Police, but for some reason, I got let into uni, even though I did no work at all, have not revised at all and was a grade down on ever subject.  School is such a load of shite!

Went to college studying graphic design and stuff then came out and didnt do anything with it and went and worked in a bodyshop

wanted to be a graphic designer hen changed me mind to be a forensic scientist then started a job as a chemist in a lab and sorta stayed for 5 years now. however forensic I dont think I could do now too many dead bodies etc yack yack

I wanted to be a graphic designer, went to a place for work experience which I loved, got summer job there but they had no jobs. Realised there wasnt that many jobs in Graphic Design so went for something else.... Admin.
Got interview for my job and they asked me if I wanted it on the spot, so I accepted.
The day after I got a call from a local building society head branch asking me if I wanted a position of Trainee Mortgage Advisor. I'd already accepted my job with Blackburn College so said no.
How stupid was I?!
About 3 years ago, went for an interview with Saab, as a marketing administrator, got offered the job. But the uniform was shite and it was working 8am - 6pm with half an hour lunch, 6 days a week. Bugger that!!

I trained as a hairdresser then got bored so worked in a car garage then a bank now the casino. Only stay at the casino coz I make loads of tips!

When i was a kid i wanted to be in the RAF then go onto fly commercial airliners, then wanted to fly old propeller driven planes like @ airshows n stuff. Had it all planned out.
Then realised i aint into the whole fitness thing and wasnt wanting to be in the military one bit.
So i wanted to do the bodyshop thing. Looked into it a bit, then decided im crap at makin stuff with me hands, good sprayer but not worth it IMO.
So now i errr, work in a phone shop

I was an apprentice car sprayer with Arnold Clark for a year but my parents split up and it al went tits up as I was only 16 at the time and had to make a lot of hard choices

i wanted to be graphic designer too
was good at art n graphic communications, wanted to mix both in art + computers, so did IT at college, the programmin stuff put me off, year doin nuthin my photography hobby kinda took off wen got a digicam. Mate had a maxp photoshoot i went online to, with em for like 8-9hrs watchin the photographer do his stuff, speakin to him he shot pics for jaguar etc  he inspired me, iv always like takin pics of cars n thought id like to be a car photographer startin HND in photography nxt week after i did a intro course past yr

worked in a Fish and Chip shop and coz I had a argument with the boss one night, I applied for every job going and got a secretarial job at the uni!
If it wasn't for the argument, I'd probably still be working in a chippie

i did work experience in a record company as promotion and a+r
was fucking awesome but i was 18 at the time and looking back it wouldve been a stupid career choice simply because that particular record company went bust a few years later

Nearest thing i got was non-league footy, but due to their being 4 goalkeepers i gave up the bit part for uni...
unsure if i made the right choice.. wish i was taller then might have played more then one in every 2 reserve games at the least
