ain't a williams nearer to 170/180bhp?

corsa 2.0 16 is about 150/160bhp

renault williams is my little brothers dream car!
hes always on about it lol, so...

mk3 2litre 16v williams
0-60 7.5seconds
150BHP

if both the williams and corsa was standard i would say a very CLOSE straight line race, but on the bends the williams would win, but nothing a good suspension set up cant sort

I kept up with a clio 172 (2.0 16v, induction, exhaust, ecotec pipe, F20 gearbox and FK coilovers) and im pretty sure they are quicker than the williams'.

There not as quick as some people think, I can keep up with a clio cup no probs and there 172bhp so one with 150bhp should'nt be a problem, just dont expect to leave it for dust

ive had a williams and there fast as fuck. im putting a valver in my corsa and the williams would still be quicker. nova valvers would beat them though. the drive and handling on a williams is unbeatable no matter wot you do to a corsa.

unless you turbo one and race in a straight line, but on the twisties even a turbo corsa would'nt stick with one and all this is coming from someone who is CORSA mad (me)

i have raced my mate in his williams and i beat him on the bends and all i have done is lower my car 40mm on spaxx springs and shocks . he was gutted because he thought it would out handle me. the only problem was as soon as we hit the straights he was either up my arse or along side me!! i'm coming in2 some money in february so do u recon its worth spendin it on turnin it into a valver?

that doesnt include brakes or suspension though does it? i've got the chance to have a 2.0 16v fitted and runnin, full astra GSi brake set-up (front and rear discs) courtenay 2.0 16v corsa front springs all for £1600. is that good?

ya dont need special springs, lowering springs on their own are good enough because they are uprated, the good thing i think about the price is the rear disks that ya gettin, for £1600 i wouldnt moan at that its a decent price even if ya dont need springs

The courtenay springs are rated by the nova owners as they are designed to take the extra weight (which obviously affects the handling)

there's other things as well i think , cool running thermostat, powder coated rocker cover and cam belt cover, its got the powercap thing on it at the mo but id get the ecotec pipe thing instead so as not to cut the bulkhead.
is there any way to quiten the tapping sound of the engine on tickover?

aright mate, i love corsa's, well worth doing a valver. they look mint.
no offence to you mate but if you did him on the bend like you said you did he cant really drive it. ive done hundreds of track days and own a race licence and know that he williams is one of the best handling cars ive ever driven apart from my go-kart haha

You can clean the the lifters. If you can do the work yourself it wont cost a thing.
