im about to buy my 19yr old brother his first car, check out this spec, what you think and any advice or opinions much appreciated...
-1.6litre 8valve "N" reg Fiat Punto sporting, 90BHP, 0-60mph 9/10seconds, 40MPG, 3door-red/burgandy colour
-electric sunroof and windows, manual- mirrors!
-has NOT got ABS brakes!
-55,000 miles
-good service history
-4 new tyres
-11 month MOT
-11month road tax
-lady owner, only 1 previous owner
-body and interior in very good condition, hardly any dents or scratches to body
-no signs of crash or major engine work
-car is completely standard
-seems like this car has not been driven hard at all! as they own a wrx impreza and a porche boxer! and looks like this is just left in the drive and only used for local journeys which is why it probly has low millege!
-asking price £1350
they accepted £1250! i think this is a complete BARGAIN even though it has not got ABS or electric mirrors!
what you think???

Get a HPI check. Mine looked ok, but was a cat c write off

yeah the price is very good!! every other car i saw like it on autotrader was much higher! £2k and above!
and considering this car has new tyres, Mot and road tax which alltogether is probly worth £300! means i will only be really paying £950 for this good condition car!
im sure its not a write of, i had a good look at it and their were no signs of any accidents

Im not keen on the old shapes! Mine is a mint little car, drove the 1.2 16v and 1.6 8v sportings and mine just feels nicer

how do i get a HPI check done? ive never done before 
but i saw all their documents, service history and ID and it seems pretty legit
my brother prefers the old shape and look
the 1.2 16v are pretty good to, 80BHP not bad at all for a 1.2!

my mate has one and is just as fast as my 1.4 16V
sounds better tho and thats a good price.
