Should i have one on my GSI from gearbox to chassi, cos i aint, how will this effect the running of my car if it should have one?

Most cars have one there so i guess your should have. Shouldnt effect the cars running if you havent as long as the one from the battery to the chassis is in good order.

Nope if it isnt obviously missing it doesnt have one. Some do some dont

I'm sure you'd notice if you needed it.
I can only assume some sensors might need grounding or something - if you were seeing funny readings that might be it but if not don't worry.

Whats happening is under load the car bogs down when it shouldnt, my engine is fairly tuned and should go above 120 with ease but struggles above 110. also when sat in traffic at idle if the wipers or summit are on every time the wipers go up the revs rise 200ish rpm weird huh

Not wierd, does sound like an earthing problem. Have a ganders in the Haynes manual see if its supposed to have one,

If it hasn't run one down. Mine's 8AWG, so go for a nice healthy 4AWG.
