trying to get the bar out to extend for 2ltr swap.
got the rod free of the linkage in the engine bay, got the gear stick out of the housing, and the housing off from the floor, but i can't figure out how to remove the housing and rod completely.
seems to be fouled by the seats and the handbrake.

the housing and rod are free, but still trapped between the hole for the rod and the seats/handbrake.
any ideas?
i don't want to have to remove a seat just to free the damn thing.

mate u dont need to take that as that is not the bit you need to extend i made that mistake 3 days ago nearly finished my conversion now. and if you do want to take it out the seat does need to come out im afraid but its only a 2 min job.

dont have pics but its the part that goes from the end of that bar u have a picture of there to the gear box itself.
someone should be able to get a picture for u although there giving there secrets away then

well in the end i didnt extend any of the gearlinkage i just didnt use the spacers and angle grinded some of the back corsa gearbox mount away so that it sits flush on the gearbox then i got all gears just using the original corsa linkage if you get what i mean.
