Went to get the tyres changed tonight, as the trackings out, so needed two new front tyres.
Whilst the tyres were off he told me i'd need new brake pads (£40ish) and they can put the new tyres on, but cant track it until the weekend because i got there at 175 and they shut at 17:30.
So...
Tyres - £50
Tracking - £20
Brakes - £40 (approx)
In total an expensive trip to the tyre shop.

Tracking is £12 from Vauxhall. Or sometimes you'll get it free like i did twice...
Um, brake pads are easy to change, will only cost about £20 then.

Try replacing a 205/30 x 18 tyre. You would hate that. It's a lot more than a complete set for your car In fact, you could buy a complete set, get the front pads changed and sort the tracking... You would have change too

Yes but it was a tw@t of a job and took us 5 hours to do as its located at the bottom of the engine and cant come out the bottom...if u dont know the engine layout of an MR2 you wont understand...lets just say its very tight...and for me to get a garage to do it you could easy triple that price...also he did it on an hours notice...

He said they were perfect. if anything, a little unbalanced the other way (?) and that i should consider taking corners slower
