My corsa on an N plate with 72k on the clock and its totally died...or well on its way out. Its a 1.4 16v Eco-shite.
Am I right in thinking a 1.6 sport engine from a newer corsa would fit right in? I was after a 2.0 transplant but I doubt I could afford insurance and i'd have to uprate everything include engine mounts, seems a lot of hassle!

u have to find a red top if u want the old engine i.e C16XE

Fucking hell dont get me started...
Last friday night the radiator blew...
Now...
The exhaust is making a garggling sound and pops when you rev it. Loss of power. Irattic idling. ECU light isnt coming on though, could it be a breach in the manifold or exhaust?
Or maybe even something to do with the airflow meter? Although in saying that, that was replaced 3 weeks ago!

on my 2 liter aages ago i was messing about with it and forgot to bolt the trottle butterfly back down properly so it was sticking open, caused pretty much the same symptoms as what u have now. Just go and pull the throttle cable from under the bonnet, see if its loose or anything.
Rad will cost u £50 from dodgsons, cheapest i know for a brand new un

Cheers mate, although i took it too me mate who has one of those vauxhall dianostics machines, came up clean. However his corsa had the same problem not so long ago and it was a blocked EGR valve. Not got a clue what one is but its going into the garage next tuesday.
Got a brand new radiator for £35. Work next door to MRS you see so it was cheap cheap. 01772 736600 if anyone needs a new one!
