Yup, only briefly. Friend of mine is a mad Lotus fan and has one.
Very difficult to drive but I suppose you would get used to it. Nightmare clutch means that you can't really enjoy the drive.
Got a piccy somewhere. Let me see if I can find it.

I can live with the stiff cluthc, i hate flimsy pedals with no feel.
Im scared i wont be avle to see over the wheel tho lol, im not short but it seems such a slanted driving position lol

aye, the clutch is suppose to be a propper git to get used to Mates dad used to have a bright gay yellow looking one and said, its a nice looking and sounding car, but he said it wasnt all that nice to drive
Keep an eye out on ebay mate, if you really after one as some minters go for around 10k, which is a bargin Although the last lot, around the N plate (i think) are the ones you want...they look the fooking dogs testicles

Yeah if u look on parkers they say a 96 goes for a round £11k
Sod drivign a corsa, im perfectly happy to put up with some unreliablilty in the name of lotus At the end of the day its an english car rare as fook!
One day i shall get my v8

Although a 1998-2001 models, look like they go for around the 20-30k mark

It was Proton that owned Lotus, not Kia.
Hence the Proton Satria GTi with Lotus bits.

that was a low point in lotus history imo
best bits imo were:
1/ the 7
2/ when colin chapman rolled the lotus 49 out, with gold leaf sponsorship (first sponsored f1 car)
3/ the JPS f1 cars
4/ the elise

when lotus were going under, kia bought the rigths off them to produce the elan, indirectly taking control of the brand, while this was happnign gm bought lotus out
kia is owned by hyundia, who are owned by damiler crylser
only in 1996 on October 31 did the Malaysian multinational DRB HICOM announce that it has taken a majority shareholding in the Lotus brand
