only got a few hundred quid to spare so what are my priorities? i already have a jvc head unit so im thinkin get a 12" sub, amp, 6x9's and wee'er ones for in the front doors. is that all i need for decent sounds? or have i missed sumfin out.

A sub with 6x9's in the parcel shelf is a no go.
Your better off gettings an amp and sub, and an amp and components.
Whats ur budget mate? And does ur JVC unit have preouts.

probably not, its a pretty basic head unit that was in when i got it!my budget is 250- 300. scanning ebay for bargains!
ice is something that just baffles me

If it doesnt have preouts then you wont be able to connect an amp to it properly.
