hi mate. i got 17s offset 45. I'm down a good 40mm on jsut gmax springs. it used to rub all round on big bumps big i banged rear arches out and its ok. the front catches over big bumps and sharp turns. i really need some firmer shocks and then i could drop 60 if it was rock solid.

TBH mate if i was getting alloys again, i would get 15/16s unless i was getting a deep kit. i was planing to kit my car but can't be bothered now. up to you tbh mate

You don't even need to do anything to the arches in some cases

i got 17's on and i'm running stock suspension, i still had to take the plastic out of the front arches so i could still get full lock and debolt the rear arches for speed bumps when theres people in the back. it looks a bit high but if i lowered it i definately wouldn't get over bumps since i only just clear them now (my front bumper would hit). only go 17's if ur gona fuly kit ur car if not stick to 16's cos there much less grief, are if ur going 17 try and get the correct offset

cut arches out if u have car fulls. i just put 17's n lowered it 35mm. it scrubs with one (average sized) m8 in the back. so cut those arches cut out.

40mm on 17s should not be to much trouble as long as you get the right offset wheels.Full car would rub alittle i should think though
