am gettin a new car and a dont know whether to get a 1.4 sri or a 1.4 sport which car is better

1.4 8V SRi's are ok... ive got one, 16v's i dont know much about, but ive heard stories about cambelts etc

i'd say 8v as it doesn't hav the ecotec engine, used to hav a 1.4 8v sri, and now hav a 1.6 16v sport eco, n i love my sri

huh am i missing something, doesn't the 8v have almost half the horsepower of the 16v? -.-

Nah think mateys on about the 1.4 sri mpi. it's the 1.4 spi thats slow as fcuk even my cars quicker!HA HA

its summit like 81bhp and the 16v is 89bhp, the same insurance aswell i think

If you don't intend to mod the engine then the 8v is more reliable and has 84BHP. But as a basis for tuning the 16v engine is a much better engine to have, and has 89BHP as std, you wouldn't notice the differencein either except the power delivery of the 8v will be more constant and the 16v only picks up after 3.5-4k

1.4 Sri has 81 bhp and Sport has 89bhp, sport everytime i would have to say, but all down to your budget

u can also get 16v SRi's that have 90BHP, same as te sports they are the newer ones, mines an M reg and has a 16v ecotec engine.

A slightly cheaper alternative than a sport if you ae worried about money too
