Wish I hadn't started now! Decided to smooth them into one piece add a third speaker etc etc. Just keep telling myself, it'll be worth it in the end Will post some pics up later on.

got electric windows already Fitted them the othe rweek, just got to glue the gears to the metal shaft so that the don't pop off, then I can cover up the hole.

I'll post a shop up in a second of where the speaker is going.

quick shop lol. . but you get the idea, It will look alot better than that when it is all smoothed in. I am going to smooth in the plastic trim bit that cover the wing-mirror adjuster as well.

Not sure wheter to include the crossover in the build or not what do you think?

Looks like your using the crappy halfords stuff. Go to www.cfs.co.uk and get some decent quantity of stuff for a fraction of the price.

My biggest recomendation when fibreglassing is don't scrimp on resin. Better to get it thoroughly drenched than have dry patches

looks good that mate although you could come into problems with the third speaker, especially if its sticks out alot, as it could hit your seat(s)

but looks good mine

ah...forgot about that, made the same mistake when I put the origanal speakers in and the window winders hit them lol. I will measure them tommorow and make sure they're going to fit.

Is this a good way to do it.....

I mean mounting the speaker to the plastic pocket, and smoothing the 2 bits together?

On mine i have mounted the speaker to the door and i plan to fibreglass upto it, but you have got me thinking now about doing a similar thing.

Will it rattle if the mid is mounted to the card instead of the metalwork, am i best off as i am?

You could sand down the whole thing and paint it but it would take hours to get it smooth enough. i am going to go for the lazy option and trim it in leather.
