I'm searching my ass off for a second hand Corsa B, 1.4i XE, color blue black or silver, <100.000KM, <5000€ but these are fecking rare...
... and then I encountered a metallic blue, 1997, 1.4i XE Tigra with 80.000KM, new belt, tires and exhaust for about 4500€
What do you think, should i continue my search or go for the tigra? how does a tigra drive btw? and is there space for SHORT trips in the back for 2 persons? I know it wouldn't be wise to go on vacation with ppl in the back, but say for 20km's or so max.
I'd have to get rid of the tuning I already did on the corsa I currently have, but I reckon it will not be that hard, considering some things might even fit the tigra.
EDIT: 4,500€ is about 3,060 pounds if u were wondering; and 80,000km about 49,700 miles

heh, well the corsa with new springs and rubbers corners pretty good, but is not what you can call "comfy" ^^
thx for the link Icy!

It's my other halfs car, I just mod it!!! But I don't think they are girly really. Esp with a c20xe under the bonnet.
I personally think they are much nicer looking than a corsa.

Sorry mate but they are VERY girly, in fact every Tigra i've seen on the road has a lass at the wheel, there a 2ltr 16v Tigra in this months TV and its owned by a lass who says that the reason she bought it was because they're so girly, my lass would love to have one.

hmmm i see your point, the person who's selling it is a girl as well ^^. Which actually is a kind of plus in a second hand car, since I don't think a girl would do crazy things with the engine.
Here in belgium they are really really rare, almost never see one on the streets, so it doesn't really have that kind of 'image' here afaik. And IF we're getting it, we're going to "stylize" it anyway, I reckon it would make it less girly
EDIT: oh yeah, the XE engine gets pretty hot right, and it seems to have less air intake space then a corsa, so a pod would probably not be a good idea??

Yeh granted a lot of them are driven by girls but I know a bloke that hillclimbs one, a bloke that sound offs one and there are a few other blokes on TTC that have them. They are popular in Europe with blokes I think too. It's just the UK that has this stereotypical view of them imo.
The one in this month's TV is driven by a woman. An old woman from what I remember and she don't even drive the fcuker.

I have driven my fair share of corsas, granted they can be improved dramatically with good aftermarket gear, but standard they are shi'ite
