Was out earlier in the car, pulled up outside JR's and all was fine, went to see my mate in dartford stopped outside her house and we sat in the car chattin after bout an hour it was time to go home. Went to start the car and the immobiliser had kicked in, so pressed the button on the remote to turn it off..................Nothing,
Immobiliser stayed on, after checking the battery in the remote which was fine, i opened the bonnett and thought if i disconnect the battery for a bit it may reset......how wrong i was! i connected the battery back up after a couple minutes and the alarm went off which is normal, but i usually press the button to stop it at this point....Nothing, im standing there with the alarm blairing out scratchin my head and then the alarm stops then starts again and again and again, so i get out the 10mm spanner release the alarm horn whilst it is still sounding. pull out the stanley knife cos im getting pissed off and cut the wire thinking this will stop the noise...........nothing alarm keeps goin in my hand so i throw it in the boot and then attempt to start the car again, hazards are going mental, alarm is still ringing, i have a hangover and im in desperate need of a piss. eventually the car starts and i manage to get home.
anyone else had a problem with their clifford alarm?

its nothing to do with the alarm, its the companies that put them in. cliffords if fitted well work perfectly fine. same as anything else.
you wouldnt moan that house of Kolor make crap paint if your car was sprayed badly would you?

well it has been in the car for over a year and havent had a problem then all of a sudden an electrical fault, nothing to do with the wiring as was working one minute then not the next, so i blame the build quality of the actual alarm not how it was fitted

clifford maufacture the CCU (the brain), the siren, the boot, bonnet and door pins( but 9 times out or 10 the OE ones are used). and solenionds.
so wiring is not a clifford fault.

It flashes once you start the car if the alarm has been set off/intrusion attempt. It will flash a certain amount of times depending on what sensor was activated i believe, may be wrong though.

How long did it take you to sort. If it was fairly easy then it was installed very craply and so would not be supprised if it did not work correctly.
Clifford alarms need to be installed properly. The clifford dealer I know has hardly any come back for problems (other than occasional sensors needing turning down) and they are turning out 3+ every week. The clifford 50 was renowned as being problematic but since then they have been much much better

the bit i bridged is basically the plug that goes into the alarm bit very simple. all alarms have immobiliser that are easy to bypass. when u find the wires
