You'd get a t piece to go into the standard pressure warning switch location, fit the new and old sensor into it, wire from there to gauge. Thats for an electrical gauge, for a mechanical gauge its the same but you run a pipe instead of a wire from t piece to gauge.
You then need to add an earth and switched illumination wire so it lights up in the dark.

not too difficult then?
if i start cutting that tube where the original pressure sensor goes am i likely to mess things up, i.e. is the pressure likely to blow the t peice off and piss oil everywhere

you dont have to cut anything, unscrew the original sensor, screw the t piece and 2 sensors in, everything is screw fit, if fitted properly with washers it should be fine.
