I noticed this on Andy Hamiltons Corsa the most as his revs up to 9000rpm, but at 7500rpm in first on mine when i change into second the engine produces a TTIISSSHHH like a quiet dump valve why is this, mark Broster also gets it on his 1.6. Just curious

only sound on mine which sort of sounds similiar again is at about 6500rpm when changin gear...

'think' its something to do with the breather hose or somethin

its literally for about 1/2 a second...

its probably the engine screeming for help the when you change gear it breaths a sigh of relife for a split second

i still recon breather hose/filter/thing...

vacuum reaches certain level at high RPM's & when you take foot off, or engine drops, the drop of pressure may cause it

Mine makes a high pitched sucking sound when i either floor it quicky and just rev it, or chuck it into the next gear and boot it. Always put it down to the air filter making the noise, as it changed to a lower pitched sucking noise when i put an induction kit on it .
