Am at uni at the moment with a superfast connection! Thing is, my LIMEWIRE WONT CONNECT 
Anyone know how to sort this out? or what settings i need?
Or suggestions for other downloading appplications?

You are right, I work for Leeds Learning Network, who provide internet access for all schools in leeds and most HE Centers such as colleges and unis... I can tell you that not much gets let through our system, so if your uni is has a similar provider to us you've no chance.

yeah most of the P2Ps are blocked, theres possibly an internal P2P you could use, apparently theres an aber DC++ hub which the network admin people dont really mind cos all th traffic is internal, but i dont know the IP addy for it yet! www.lando.co.uk has some ali g episodes and stuff if you are bored though, and thats also hosted on a uni network so you can get decent speeds off there
