Hello folks!

Sum of you may know that I own a corsa 1.6 sport and its in fetching black!

However any1 who has ever owned or experienced black cars will know wot a bitch they are to keep immaculate!

Therefore I took the drastic decision to give the car a blow over its not as bad as it sounds though as i do spraying for myself on a regular basis as part of my business!

So i purchused some GSi sideskirts from online-autosport (thanks) and decided that as i was going to be spraying these I might aswell do the whole car at the same time!

So I have some preliminery shots of the stages the car has been through today!

Stage 1 - Begin sanding!

Stage 2 - Mask up and do more sanding!

(u can also see in that pic me test fitting the sideskirts )

hopefully with all being well I shall be spraying the car on Sunday so expect more pics shortly!

well with regards to the rearlights ur probebly right it wud have been easier to just remove them! the only problem being those tiny bastard bolts on the back of the light! dont wanna go losing one down my rear quarter sumwhere.

The door handles were a spur of the moment thing I thought shit i should be colour coding these at the same time so ive sort of thought i could attempt to spray them while there on the car. I hear you laughing and yes i realise im daft and shall be removing them to spray them!

Do you see a pattern here? im kinda lazy

dont understand why ur not taking everything off like door handles and bumper/lights/spoiler/arches etc etc etc ans if u just spray as it is now ull get a bridge of lacquer between the gaps which will eventually crack and look totally shit

and long as ur carefull u wont loose any bolts ive changed mine 3 times and job was good'en easy. also ur masking will have to be very good if u just masked the windows not removed them

Why is everyone questioning this guy's actions and telling him what he should be doing?

looking drastic mate, it will be worth it in the end mate no doubt, i masked my car up pretty different, i never took skirts and bumper of also cos mine were bonded on and look like task to take off, second time i re sprayed the car when i smoothed few things off bumpers etc i took bonnet and doors off and i personally think u would get betta finish!

here are some pics when i did mine:-

the paint im using is a 2pac solid colour which means I dont have to use laquer. The quality of the finish I can get with this paint is literally a mirror one and by using just one spray over means that I shud by rights get a very even covering.

Your right about the items I havent removed I suppose so I will end up removing the rear lights and door handles! with regards to the windows the masking on them is pretty good! i made sure of that!

The spraying commences 2moz so be prepared for pictures
