some dodgy ebay seller guy. from there. he wants payment via moneygram which is dodgy. he could take my payment for the fone which he is selling, then not send me it! and i cant do anythin about it

he is tryin to persuade me hes for real as he has a 200+ positiv feedback (for all of which items were less than £20).

so i asked him if collection would be possible.

he wont accept any other payment other than moneygram, which i find dodgy.

We have recently cancelled listings for 'paddydavis' as we investigate the
possibility that an unauthorized person has compromised this user’s account.
Such an unauthorized person may have posed as 'paddydavis' without the knowledge
or authorization of 'paddydavis'. The legitimate account user will be notified
about this possible compromise.
Our records indicate that you were a participating bidder or buyer in the above
listing involving the seller account of 'paddydavis'. The item number in that
listing was: 6327825272. Please consider this listing and transaction as
cancelled. With respect to this transaction, please do NOT complete this
transaction and do NOT send any payment or money to the claimed seller.

Although we have taken measures to help correct this situation, you should
disregard any email or correspondence from anybody who encourages you to send
payment or money to complete this transaction. You should disregard such an
email or correspondence even if the person claims to be an eBay representative
or the seller in this transaction. This transaction will not be reevaluated by
eBay in the future.

eBay will NOT send you an email asking you to pay for the item in the above
listing. If you receive such an email and it purports to come from eBay, it is
a fake. Indeed, simply because an email address includes the word “ebay” - such
as joesmith@ebay.com -- does not ensure that the email is genuine.

In the event that anyone provided instructions related to sending payment, or if
you have already sent payment, please reply to this message with the following
(as applicable):

- Item Number:
- Auction Title:
- Amount Sent:
- Type of payment:
- Date of payment:
- Method of sending payment (US Mail, FedEx, Wire, etc.):
- Name and address where payment was sent or requested:
- If payment was through Wire-transfer, please provide:
- Account Number, Routing Number, Institution Name, Recipient Name

Please note that the ending of the listings for this seller is a precautionary
measure. The grounds for this suspension may be the result of a mistake or
misunderstanding.

We advise our members to take caution with all purchases, especially when
dealing with high dollar value items. Payment should never be sent when you
cannot verify the seller’s identity. This includes any requests from supposed
sellers asking for payments to be sent to persons or locations that are
different from the name and location provided in the eBay Item Purchase or eBay
Item Won emails.

Under all circumstances, eBay strongly discourages the use of instant cash wire
transfer services. These services are designed to allow you to send money to
family, friends, and other trusted parties. While sellers may offer this option,
they cannot require you to pay this way. If any seller insists on payment
through an instant cash wire transfer, such as Western Union, please decline to
send payment.

As described in our User Agreement, eBay is only a venue, and we cannot
guarantee that sellers will complete transactions nor can we guarantee the
delivery or quantity of bought items. As a basic principle, a buyer should know
with whom he or she is dealing before sending a payment to a seller.

If you already sent payment, you should take steps to protect yourself. If you
paid by personal check, you may wish to contact your bank to discuss appropriate
steps to protect yourself. If you paid with a credit card, you may wish to
contact your credit card company’s security department to discuss this payment -
many companies provide protection in certain circumstances. If you paid by
money order, you may want to contact that money order company for information on
how to protect yourself..

There are a number of tips related to how to protect yourself in any Internet
transaction on our Help page located at:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/buyerguide/bidding-tips.html

If you have any questions, please reply directly to this email.
