bascialy i've come into some spare cash and i would like to upgrade me ice for in my corsa b.I've been looking through the back of max power mags all night and have come up with this.

Alpine CDA 9812RB Head Unit £235

JBL GT4 15" 1000 WATTS SUB £50

Kenwood KAC8401 4X100 WATTS AMP £145

Kenwood KAC8151D 1000 WATTS MONO AMP £144.99

Pioneer TSA6920 4 WAY 360W 6X9S £69.99 (TO REPLACE SONY XPLOD 6X9S)

I'm just wondering about the design of the boot build to fit all of this in atm. What could i do with the 6x9s? Should i get rid of the shelf?

Also, could i add another sub onto that kenwood mono amp? i'm thinking 2 would look better.

foudn this picture on max power forums.Shows the two amps i might be getting.

best decent setup was what i had
1 sub and 1 4ch amp and decent component up front all amp'ed

if you put 6x9's in with a sub they will be fighting for the same air and sound not as good

6*9's are ok in the back if you can cut out the low pass filter all together and just have them playing the high pass filter.

but that depends on the HU or AMP.

Yeah, i was thinking the same thing. If i cut out the low freqs on the 6x9s and just having them playing mid, and high notes i'll be sorted.

i'm still not sure if to go for just the 1 sub, brand new pioneer 6x9s (maybe 2 way:boggle And get some decent passenger and drivers side door speakers later on.

Also, if i want to run 2 subs each at around 1000 watts, wot amp would be good to power them?

I think i'll be getting the kenwood amp setup so its all kinda matching, i dont think that kenwood mono amp can power two subs Not too sure.

Ps, i want to to a complete boot build as i have no other use for itI'm thinking 2 subs would look better than just the 1

Also, i've just noticed the RMS for them JL Subs is only 125w each...meaning 250 in total and the amp runs at 1000watts

the amp would run at at 400 w rms, so the subs are perfect because you wouldnt, be putting strain on the amp

those JL's arent expensive and they are good for the money.

U dont need 6x9's spend as much money on front components as you can and then the rest for 1/2 decent subs.

Other speakers are not needed unless you sit in the back of your car for hours at a time...

This is how i might do it.

4 of these http://www.alpine-europe.com/alpine/cms/details.php?p=331&details=1

running off one of these

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2007

Then two of these subs

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pio/pe/vgn/images/portal/cit_3442/35354TS-W305C_big.jpg

running off this

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2008

The two front side door speakers will run off this alpine headunit.http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2193

I might go for the jl instead of the pioneer depending on the money i have, because its a huge difference in money.

Wot do you guys rekon about fitting 4x alpine speakers in the back? I rekon it would look pretty good and sound nice...we'll see anyway
