Was coming one of the famous Liverpool tunnels today to find a load of vehicle checks going on. The road goes from a 40 to 30 but I’m still doing around 38 when I clock them. Anyway, I slow down and one of the guys waves me past but what I want to know is do they normally have speed cameras too? They where under the bonnet of a van and about 4 people in yellow coats on a coach talking to passengers. I didn’t really see that much as I was still doing about 28 as I went past.

Some mobile camera vans are about, with the camera setup in the back of the van but they have to have signs up to say there is a camera in place otherwise it's not slowing people down, it's just catching speeders which is not the job of a speed camera.

Coming out the tunnel you will not see any signs on that road but further down is a speed camera and a sight before that. Surely they cannot get away with that

It's entrapment, you can contest the ticket or fine/points and win everytime unless the judge is pissed on bleach.
The speed camera is to slow people down, not to make money from

They would have been VOSA inspectors targetting goods vehicles etc. THey aint police but have the powers to stop you.

If you was driving a diesel with red diesel in it worry about being pulled, but if they did not pull you over, i would not worry to much.
