Bought new camera yesterday as my last one has given up the Ghost not even two years old!!!

So... went into Comet and found a small Canon IXUS IIs... £177 (got it with 10% off as it was the last one off the shelf winner)

Here we go.. not quite got to the bottom of all the functions.. but heres a couple taken last night.
1st pic is without flash ans zoomed in a bit.
2nd pic is with night time mode 'ON'

and NO.. i didn't supply the Blue NEON light to the VERY nu 'Experian' building at NG1 in Nottm lol

James - stickers look great mate - superb job - will try and get some pics up ton...

"Flamingcorsa" - just out of intrest mate - what did you use to do all ur interior dash and bits ??? Is that sprayed - or re-trimmed with summink ??

Thinking bout doing my interior white - too offset the black - but don't know what to use - gonna use vynil on parcel shelf and boot install (yes im a cheap skate - can't afford leather) and prob use it for door card - but is it just paint uve used on the dash bits and bit behind wheel...

Sorry to take the post over !

Think the camera looks like a good one - good price too !!!

Love the neons !

Get a tripod and you will be able to get some amazing pics.

Put the car somewhere there is no ambient light just light from the neons and then turn the shutter time to something like 2-3 seconds and see what it turns up.

You will be amazed as how clear a picture you can get with no light.

These pics were taken when it was 100% dark and with only a couple cold cathode tubes!

Neil.. tube with you today???
still £200 at Currys.
Whas the square box or more square boxes on the LCD display when you take pix??

Rob.. it was ona tripod lol
trouble is if i take a pic at night with no other light around.. with the car being black.. you don't hardly se the outline of it.
Are you saying put it on 2sec exposure on the shutter delay.. this will give more time for light to be exposed on the pic?

whats with the ISO 50 100 200 or 400 settings?
what do these do?

if your in low light and no tripod you can set a higher ISO and you'll get a faster shutter speed, however a higher ISO means the picture will have more noise in it.

mine can set 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600. I never go above 400 ISO.

Hey mate bit off topic but need a bit of advice, i bought some green glow job in a box jobbies off you last year for my corsa and they were awesome, by far the brightest ones around by me, anyway, i sold the corsa and now have a blue saxo, was wondering what you would reccomend for brightness, dont really want it to change colours or flash, just want a really bright blue glow,

Cheers, Jamie
