was out driving with the mrs earlier & i noticed there was a clicking noise when i turned right. i turned the stereo off & noticed it was getting worse as i went along. decided to take it home straight away & by the time i'd got close to my house the clicking had turned into a clunking & when i was in gear it was making the steering wheel judder. when i pressed the clutch in there was no judder. i've already had a quick check to see if the wheels are all securly fastened & they seem to be fine so i reckon i'll need a new shaft

this sound about right? or could it be something else?

hmmmmmmmmmm

i could do it myself if its a cv joint but i fuckin hate cv grease it stinks like fuck!

but i dunno if i'd want to drive it to the garage. someone i used to work with(mechanic) once wrote a sierra cossie off cos the cv joint was fucked & seized up when he was on the motorway. locked the o/s front wheel up totally & he went into the barrier

was a customers car too

Doesn't sound like a shaft to me either.

Change the CV's, if that doesn't sort it then investigate further!

Could be bottom ball joints, but when driving in a straight line there should be no problems if they have gone a bit fooked...
