I take it that the plug cover must be metal instead of the usual plastic???

yea theyre metal. and the ones v tuning have are the ones supplied by our mate. he does all v tunings stuff

You could probably take it to a metal plater and have it done for less than £30 at a guess. Chroming is a pretty cheap process...
