If you can't fill in the form then you'll probably struggle with the degree

At the end of the day, the best unis want the best grades.
If you on for shit grades, a good statement will make no odds.

Well I've expecting D's but my uni needs 180 points which is 3 D's and my statement isn't exactly impressive so it looks like I might have to start looking for a job

Aren't they the sorta people that go uni. I'm lazy and going for the cheap beer and lazy days of dossing for 2 and a half years then working hard for the last six months to get your degree.

Decent uni's will not let you through the years with no work. I know this from personal experience. And a uni that lets u in with 3 d's, especially only for a 3 year designated degree, you might aswell just get a job. IMO of course.

IMO it's all about money with them. They will keep taking your money until you run out and then kick you out.

It's a bit like throwing wads of cash at shite 1/1.1/1.2litre cars, which are the same price as building a 2litre turbo corsa and insuring it, and then posting shit on www.CorsaSport.co.uk when it fucks up.

He did actually. Those CVs are tailored for one purpose and may not be suited to others. Either that or the content is bad - not the tutors problem.
Regarding the laziness comments, yes you can probably get through certain universities doing as little work as possible, the odd bit of copying, rushing and scraping through exams. I'm yet to see anyone who adopted this approach doing anything with the degree though, masters, PhD etc. All of the people I know who didn't get a first or a 2:1 may as well have just got jobs in the first place and earned money for three years.
Its probably fun for a few years but its pointless unless you do well.
