I had my first night race on friday night....heres how it went.
I pass the shop, and notice some guys lurking around what i think was a fiesta...not too sure
I make my way down the dualcarriageway, he comes flying up behind me doing about 70 in a 40.
I catch him up at a set of lights and where both there, nobody around....lights are on red....and the lane infront merges into a 1 afder the junction.So i think fuck it, and set my revs.
I'm 18, this guys looks about 22....so by his age i should of known his car was gonna be atleast a 1.4.
I give it everything, could of dropped into 2nd a tad earlier though...just as we both exit the junction his boot is inline with my bonnet....he turns and gives me a smerk i will never forget that smerk, i just wanna wipe it off his face with a 2 litre.
Kinda good it happended though, even though it made me look like a fool and taught me a lesson....it put me in my place...i'm never again gonna try and race somebody who looks older than me.....because there car is probably better.I felt like kinda sick afderards

Why do people need to race eachother on the roads? Seems like an odd way to have fun to me

if u have a 1.2 8v u will get beat by anything on the road i found it hard to over take pensioners on push bikes

I had a race against R17CH U in his Corsa, when it used to be a 1.0 12v, and I had a 1.2 16v auto, at Santa Pod!
He kicked my ass from standing but I soon caught up and past him as his car was running out of steam!
I wonder if he still remembers that...

ffs u's lot do me head "ooo we dnt race at all were good little boys, though we have modded cars" its all bullshit everyone races as much as each other - just you get slated if you talk about it on here - though if sum1 has a race in a 2litre and talks about it they get pats on the back
yes fair enough racing shouldn't be encouraged in anyway, but whther ur in a 1.2 or 2.0 or 3.0 twin turbo beast no matter what you racing them first few seconds sat on the line revving em up and them goin is one of best buzzes in the world - whether you win or loose
like i said i don't encourage racing, but every1 does it - so slate my post all you like
