Firstly what you after, show cage or proper functional cage?
If its functional then do you want a bolt-in or weld-in? 6 point or multi-point? Do you have a sunroof?

MPS is a 'show' cage aint it - dont see how it should effect insurance tbh. You'd have to tell them but i'd be suprised if they charged you for it... Phone them and ask.

ive got a dimmer cage mate, and you can leave the back seats in with that one, althought mine is stripped out. thats a show cage and does not effect insurance

why does a show cage not effect insurance? Alternatively, why does a functional cage effect insurance when its job is partly to prevent injury (and to stiffen the shell) Someone told me its becasue people banged their heads off them when getting in and out their car

maybe cos using a cage effectively makes the vehicle more rigid
in the event of a collision with another vehicle they are more-or-less hitting a rigid structure than the 'flexible' shell Vauxhall intended?
a bit like bull-bars on jeeps n stuff -they cause more damage to others - but atleast your safe
just a thought

Cages affect insurance because if you say you have fitted one to your car people automaticly think you are likely to roll it.
