As above , i need a new sub or a pair for the gsi.

i currently have a rockford fosgate bd1000.1 monoblock amp kicking about my bedroom so i want to use this to power it, i have the power certificate and its pumping out just over 1200watts .

i want decent base , pref 12" as i listen to mostly rnb, hiphop and the odd bit of dance.

so can i have reccomendations please

i have been thinking of

a JL W7 but i aint sure if my my is alright for it?????? ive seen a few cheap ones on ebay.

i dont really wanna spend the earth tho .

or if some1 knows some 1 whos selling some 2nd hand ones 1s point me in the right direction .

you gonna have to either team up some subs, or get something decent like a RE sub or an Audiobahn - but both of these are SPL subs and your looking at about 300 quid for one of these subs

You'll spend about the same for two JLs but there more suited to SQ setups and will be pretty loud

Yea, you gonna be looking at 300 quid for a sub that will handle about 500wRMS

Quick List of some that would be alright, but you will have to turn the gain down abit -

Boston Acoustics 12.5LF (handles up to 1200w) - £299
Crystal COMPX212 (handles 800wRMS, SPL sub) - £399
Diamond M6-12D2 (handles 800wRMS) - £370
Directed 5122 (handles 1000wRMS) - £199

on top of this you could start to double speakers, like two JL (180 quid a peice) which would equal to about 600wRMS, so you would have to turn the gains down etc

personally, the best bet would be to sell it (unless you plan on having a SPL system and spend a fair bit on subs) and spend the cash towards a decent single 12" system
