800-900kg?

But its running on choke all the time due to a faulty temp sensor.

Can't wait to drive it with a new temp sensor, will be amazing

well in your defence about being beaten by a micra, i know that micra has 100bhp, micra's as standard weight about 830kg, so if your running at your 106bhp, the two cars would obviously be pretty evenly matched.

yes and yes

however autospeed magazine tested a standard one.

quote:

The Micra is conservatively rated at 55kW or 74hp (at 6000rpm). We say 'conservatively' because we drove the stock little beast on a rolling road and found it had 52kW (70hp) at the wheels!

so officially its 75bhp at fly, but when tested was 70 at the wheels.

Car £300
Wheels £600
Engine £350
Fitting £500 (lots of parts Lee needed)
Seats £150
Subframes £150
Front bumper and arches £150
Re-spray £1300

£3500, but I've spent a little more than that on bits and pieces like bits from the scrappy etc, so roughly £3800 including car.

Without causing offence i just don't get it, why not spend say 2000-2500 on a civic vti for instance that maybe needed the respray u gave the nova and u'd have a much quicker more powerfull car out of the box for same money without the problems ure having!
Just doesnt seem like ure getting much value for your money!

its all down to taste to be honest, your biased to jap stuff which in our eyes is more expneive to fix and repair, where as if ollie wanted anything for the nova he could go stright to the breakers yeard or take it to lee mitchell to help him fix it...all depends on your perspective?

Yea i do see what you mean, i'm not totally biased as i wouldnt say no to a let corsa or xe corsa , it's just i view a car like he's building as he wants it for fun, just doesnt seem like he's getting too much fun from what he's spent.. fair enough it's not running right, but that's defo not going newhere fast!
And to be honest, a 1.6 civic, will never cost that much to fix if it does ever go wrong, which it won't! but i see your point about just going down the local scrappy and picking up ne new parts he wants!
Like i say, not meant to offend just seems a bit of a waste for a car that's meant to be nippy n fun!
