i've got an mobile which is on the orange network. its a pay-as-you-go type - but im starting to use it way more than i did when i first got it. Is there a way i can get a contract and keep the same number?

yeah..... you just go to the local shop and get a contract phone but ask for the same number!!

i thought you could only change over your number if it was the same company, in your case from Orange PAYG to Orange contract, could be wrong tho!

Richies changed from Orange to O2, kept the same number so it can be done.
Was on a business contract thou, call them and ask them

you can change ur number over from pay as you go to contract and vice versa to any network, if the number is registered in ur name, its legally urs too
