i have used this simple tag <embed src="video.avi" /> which works fine on my local computer, but on my web server it doesnt work even though the avi file is uploaded etc :/ any suggestions? Is it a plug in issue?

<embed src="file"></embed>

You will need to wait for the file to download too - if it is an AVI file then you will need to right codec for it installed on your PC, though if the file works locally then you will already have that
