Right just took my induction kit, pipework of so i could get at ICV/throttle body and it s filthy inside. The butterfly thingy is black with crap, used carb cleaner which got most of it off but is this black 'stuff' normal??
by the way does anyone now what size hex key im guna need to get ICV off? coz i couldnt see, its dark and such a small gap to get at it

black shit is caused i think by the oil in the induction kit, it gets on to th ethrottle body ICV etc etc and collects dust and shit that get through the filter, this is probably whats cloggin up ya ICV< remove it give it a dam good clean, but it wont definately fix the problem the ICV might actually be at fault rather than clogged

its a t10 torx bit for the icv i think black shite will be oil from the breather system

ok cool ill give it ago. It idles erraticly sometimes so this might be the problem but ill cleanit all up sat

or as he said , didnt think the oil breather entered the inlet till way past the throttle body, this man has a tourqe tube so the breather might not even be plumbed into the system, mine never was lol,

yea i have velos so no breather enters before tb. do you think i should clean and re-oil my airfilter? to stop excess oil getting in?

lol, DONT reoil ya filter there was probably too much oil on it in the first place, if ya set on it, clean it with soapy water let it get bone dry and lightly oil it, the oil from induction kits bugger up the Air mass meters, air flow meters etc if there is too much
