The ICE im getting is on a budget

I've got the Infinity 9603i's and am going to put them on the rear shelf if i was to put a sub in the boot is this really gonna be a problem? or should i be a sub that doesnt need to be in a box and chuck that on the back shelf aswell? Thought it wud be a bit worse than having a box in the boot tho?

Any information would be great thank you

everyone is going to say having a sub and 6x9's is pointless, better to have a good set of amp'd fronts and a sub.

if you are worried about things moving in the boot then you need to make a false floor or secure it down somehow, I've got my two sub boxes secured to the false floor using small velcro pads, they do the job very well.

i used to have a free air sub on shelf, did sound quite good, but u need to be careful of vibrations...

dont put 6x9's in a shelf with a sub in a boot its not a good idea, basically if u feel the need for 6x9 and u cant live without them put them in the rear door card where they wont get distorted by the subs air movement...

wouldn't the weight of the sub snap the parcel shelf though? ya could go to bass junkees and get a custom shelf which is designed to hold the weight, stealth shelves are a damn good idea if ya aint got your windows tinted or live in a bad area!
