Has anybody installed an aftermarket oil cooler.
Seen some tidy lookiing ones on ebay and would not mind having one in the front bumper in a intercoooler style.
Any ideas

I have a 13 row mocal jobby on my nova. you don't stick it out of the bumper, cause it it get's hit and ruptures then your car will go bang very quickly.
Plus it's only worth having if your oil temp goes over 120, and it normally takes over 6.5k const, like on track. otherwise waste of weight and money.

Pfft - weight.

Weighs about 3lbs! Steal one from a scrappy, then it costs you nothing too!

Or you can use a C20XE oil cooler if you want to go really crazy.

If you want one to look cool just buy one or an intercooler and stick it in your bumper. Not connected obviously.

Or if you're at B&Q in the bathroom section buying shower rails, take a trip to the plumbing side and grab a nice radiator.

not really,

your sump cools the oil on most cars, but if the sump is coverd, or air is restricted from passing over it, (eg a sump gaurd) then it is better to run an oil cooler

I know it's already got the lower brace you fool, but I might sort out an order with Wiechers and get a sump guard added to it. Just to see what it's like, doubt I'll fit it - you'll buy it though won't you Mr Broster
