Why don't the artists donate some of their cash?

Why doesn't the song have any atmosphere or feeling?

Whats Dizee doing in it at all? Especially when hip-hop and R&B are geared towards bling, material posessions and having money?

The electric guitar in the end drowns out the chorus and makes it a racket, Bono doens't sing the most famous line with any conviction, and why are the record companies taking a cut?

And Will Young prmoted it on Radio 1 talking about starving people while eating a quaissant. How pathetic.

Yeah people are starving in Sudan, but if there isn't any food or water, why do the people insist on having so many bloody kids?

Its mianly down to Zimbabwe and dictatorship and civil war anyway.

Nice idea, but should have been a better record. The place needs long term investment from people like Blair and Bush, but they don't care cos theres no oil there.

They played the new and old Band Aid songs back to back on one of the freeview music channels, and I have to say the old one is definately 100% better than the new one.

@ Dizzie Rascal! Dizzie Fuckwit more like!

You are very short-sighted. Families on africa have to have lots of children so they can work for the family and help support by bringing in more money. More kids= more food for the family. And Zimbabwe is a very very small proportion of the problems in africa. Look at Sudan at the moment. They really do need the money, as well as UN Peacekeepers to try and stop all the rebel fighting thats killing so many innocent people.

But why isn't anyone doing anything to help?

This too may sound short sighted, but wehy instead of sweat-shops in china and india etc, why don't Nike etc make factories in Africa and employ loads of people?

u lot really have no idea do u

why dont 'nike etc' make factorys in africa?? WTF!! they are a business, not a charity, there aim is to make money not help 3rd world countries. their sales arent going to increase through opening factorys in africa are they, so there would be no reason for them to do it.

and bush and blair have enough on their plates tryin to look after their own countries, without having to take on africa aswell. not to mention the fact that there is barley enough money to look after britain, how are they going to afford to put money into africa aswell, there isnt an endless supply of money.

at the end of the day there is only one way to help these countries, and that is through charities. things like this song make millions for these places, why is everyone slating the pop stars who did it? "they are only in it for themselves", wot a load of crap, who else is gonna sing the song? it wouldnt sell half as many copies if it was just your average joe singing it. they may get some good publicity out of it but that dont mean they dont care does it, they still gave up their time to do the song, and of it werent for them then there would be no song, then no money would be made to help these people

No i believe the only person who actually gives a shit is bob geldoff. All the others were coaxed into it hoping that their own records sell better afterwards.

Because Africa doesnt have the infrastructure available. Simple.
