Fitting lexus lights today, all was ok till i tried the lights, this is the problem.... when my lights are on and i press the brake, the lights dont get any brighter, i have twin filliment bulbs so it cant be owt to do with that, all other lights, indicator reverse fogs, work fine.
With the lights off the brake lights work ok, but i think its the sidelights that are coming on not the brake lights, and the headlights flash when i press the brake, what the f**k!!!!

Sounds like you've got a dodgy wiring loom.

Disconnect just one side so you can see if either side works fine. If you can identify it's just one side causing the problem then it's easier to fix.

Some of them come through like that - get wherever you bought them from to send you out another loom to try.

Which Lexus style lights have you got?

normally it's the cheap arse wiring loom, you could buy your own or hard-wire then if you don't plan on taking them out often!

i have the same problem, ended up using electrical tape to hold the connections tight on the wiring loom

Broster was a silly boy and hardwired his... then he spent ages rewiring the standard loom connector back on when he sold the lights...

Just get a decent loom from the manufacturer.
