the components in my doors are sat in a type of cup,what bits n pieces do i need to fit better speakers?

You need a set of new component speakers, 13cm ones will do.

Choose whichever's cheapest, has the best brand or looks the nicest in the shop.

that cup is the Standard vaux bracket... get rid of it and put in a Halfords speaker adaptor... with that you can install some big bad boys.... e.g ALPINE 17cm front speakers! about £100

But with 17cm front speakers you're more likely to find the magnet fouls or you need to modify the door card.

yer the alpine 17cm ones need to door to be cut a liltle and also door pods to be made. have a look in my garage.

You can fit whatever you like because you should fit the speakers to a piece of MDF, just depends on how much modding you wanna do
