Rite, basically i may have to claim on my insurance. However i will not be claiming for any damage to my car as its minimal. Will i still have to pay my excess

If youre claiming through your ins, they'll surely want an excess wont they?

i don't know, cos i wasn't sure if the excess only applied on your car. As you don't have one on TPFT insurance

have u got an exccess on your policy? if so then if you make a claim your going to have to pay the excess...... insurance companys are not going to pay money then dont have to pay

the excess is liable on any claim, no matter what ure claiming for

some people on here know nothing!

If some one is making a claim again you (which it is in your case) then you dont pay a penny just your insurance company.

If you claim for damage to your car then you pay your excess.

Yeah the claim will be on my insurance but only to the damage to his van as there is no real damage to mine

if your not claiming for anything on your car just the third party then you pay nothing just your insurance company

Thats what i thought and hoped, cheers

Got one last throw of the dice tho to prevent him claiming as i now have pics and his estimate and there is about £1500 of fraudulant claiming so gonna contact my legal assistance on my insurance

Well my mum does But it only drops down to 3yrs NCB if we claim

will lose two years NCB for a claim.

Speaking to your legal assistance can only be done though your insurance company!

Im pretty sure if you dont claim for the damage to yours you dont pay an excess, as that is to cover any repair needed to your car!

Thats what hapened when i spoke to tesco recently

Yeah thats what i thought Car may be uninsurable for me next year tho
