8 hours I lasted (oo err) with the Royal Mail. (I wasnt a postie)

Beats my previous record by 6 hours set in July where the Inland Revenue also wasnt a job for me...

Had to sit in front of the computer and type in postcodes and locality of letters that the mail system machine didnt recognise. I was fine with the postcodes as you just had to sit there and type, but the locality thing was hard, you had to know all your counties off by heart, and with getting up at 7, in uni til 5, then working 6 til 10 meant I was exhausted and didnt have enough energy to sit and revise daft counties...

i get up a 5.02am (i have 3 alarms, ones set at 5am, ones set at 5.02am, and the other is set at 5.05am - i cant get up in the mornings).
I finish anywhere between 5pm - 8pm usually, sometimes later depending what time the prisoners get picked up.

I wake up at 7.30am and leave the house just before 8am, where it takes me approximately 10 minutes to drive to work. Finish at 5pm, get home at 5.20pm (traffic).

Previously, when I had to get the bus, had to wake up at 7am, get to bus stop for 7.30am bus, take the bus into Oxford, then get another bus from Oxford to work, and I'd arrive at work anywhere between 8.15am and 8.35am.

Public transportation sucks!

Seems I get a nice late start compared to most!

I get out of bed about 10:40am, am in work for midday, work through til 8pm, and am home by 8:30pm. All that changes when get my promotion at the end of next week, when I go back to working 9-5......longer day, thanks to traffic.

If I'm teaching at 9, I have to leave at 8. If I'm teaching at 11, I can leave at 10:30.

Same with coming home. I stayed until 6 the other night to get a nicer drive home. Its a battle otherwise, and 40mph on a national speed limit dual carriageway.
