The skyline now seems to idle at 3 to 4k revs depending how it feels Goes like shit off a shovel now mind, but is very annoying at the lights
pops, n spits and boosts alot quicker than before...
Fitted new plugs, cleaned the TB buterfly, and the AAC (idle control valve)
Now..... everything points to the AAC, but i've removed it again, re-cleaned and re-fitted.... no joy
There isnt anything stuck, holding the TB open either....
any suggestions?

i dont rag it.
I have a suspicion it may need its idle re-adjusted.....
It may have been turned up, and turned up when the AAC was getting more clogged? dunno
This is the routine....
Adjustment
1. turn the aac valve assembly idle adjustment screw with a screw driver until idle speed is 600rpm
2. make sure the eccs control unit idle control adjustment volume is turned all the way to the left.
3. remove the 2 pin harnees connector from the aac valve to stop the idle feedback control. at this time the aac valve is completely closed and the idle speed should be below 600rpm under normal conditions.
4. turn the aac valve assy idle adjustment screw with a screw driver to adjust idle speed to 600 rpm.
5. connect aac valve connector and make sure the idle speed is maintained at specified value.
6. the engine speed increases when the adjustment screw is turned to the left and decreases when turned to the right.
7. if you wish to increase idle speed for any reason , turn the idle adjustment volume in the eccscontrol unit to adjust the speed. idle adjustment speed increases when the knob is turned clockwise by a maximun of 250 rpm.
Caution
the adjustment volume must be set 40-50 degrees away from the self diagnostic position as if it is turned all the way to the right (self diagnostic postion) the idle speed is lowered (lowest rpm +50 rpm).

....what did i say lastnight LOL
Checked all the vacuum pipes this morning, refitted the solenoid and valve after a very good clean. reconnected everything and moved on....
AND found that my small boostpipe to the boostcontroller was fouling the butterfly (not visible.... just so i dont look completly daft).... problem solved
Car is running super sweet now. Seems to be boosting alot cleaner/quicker with the 0.8mm BCPR7EIX's in.
Went sideways when booting it from 1200rpm in 3rd (that never happened before)..... in damp
