yes mate the more cool air you get to induction kit the better, a shield between induction kit and engine would help keep it cool too

Air box is the worst thing - only good for those that are scared to fit a decent induction kit and play with cold air feeds.

A decent induction kitis basically a conical filter in an enclosure, an airbox perhaps? Take the Pipercross thingie your always going on about and the BMC Carbon Dynamics Airbox as an example.

why not move the cone to the air, rather than trying to get air into the cone via tubes.
my research and development team are working on an in-line ducted filter, that can be located anywhere a pipe can.
