Boguth car from a vaux dealer.. at time they advised me tthey were waiting for the previousowners reg plate to be taken off the car and the paper work was in. Waited 3 weeks and they told me just to takje the car adn then come back in when the documents arrived..
One month on , they have been bullshitting about sendint the docs to the dvla to get the plate taken off but iwnet to the local dvla office today and got them to check, and they have had no docs for my car sent to them.
Called the garage and they basically said its nout to do with them, its the previous owner thats not sent the reg docs and basically piss off.
who the fuck or what the hell can i do to get this sorted??
anyone got any advice? dvla basically said they cant do nout, the vaux dealer doesnt want anything to do with it..and ive jsut to wait

Speak to the retail operator, who will investigate with the staff members concerned.

and your a goat for taking the car from them with no V5! Still, if its a vaux dealer you should be ok... Just keep pestering them, telling them you bought the car from them, not the previous seller. It is your right to have a V5
You can ask the DVLA for a new v5 btw

there is no way a vaux dealer would/should trade a car in without ownership of the V5.

Id take the car to the dealer, throw the keys at them and tell them to contact you once they have sorted this mess out....are you paying finance? Threaten to cancel your direct debit!

al give u it for free, as it would look perfect onur car and u driving
As for asking for a new v5, how does that work?
i got a private plate of my own i want to buy but it sways on the site the plate has to go on immediately and includes the 80 quid transefer fee...
so if i ask for a new v5 willthe v5 be for the astra with the previous owners plate on it or willit be for the astra with the origininal SB02.. regy?

Yes the only reason the car was bought was becaus the dealwer said THEY had sent the V5 to the dvla a week or so before i came ot buy it and they were just waiting for it to come back fromthem with the Sb02... regy on it..
NOt at one point did they say the V5 was with the previous owner, or i woulda told them to sook me and shove it up their ass.

I'd be worried. Surely if previous owner still has registration documents, they are still down as registered owner & keeper??

This is all being sorted on monday as the owner of the garage was seen today and he had no idea this was going on and has went to the previous owner to collect the documents.
all should be done by this time next week.
