I got my car with a 2L 16v lump already in it, when I went out in it at first I could tell it was short at gearing, just been out on the motorway and its hitting the limiter at 133ish. What box could this be? My f16 on my old corsa did 135 in 4th on the roller the limiter was set at 6250 on that but by the looks of it the std 2L 16v limiter is also around that. An F20 box deffo does more than that, and I dint think anything smaller than the F16 would fit??

It's gonna be a F20 with a high final. making the gearing rather short.

You lot need to get GSi/Sport or Tigra 1.6 16v clocks which have 142mph on there.

You can make an F13CR fit, but not too sure how lon git would last
Makes the conversion easier, and lighter cause an F20 weights a ton next to a F13

But for how long? The number figure gives an indication as to how much torque it can handle.
Obviously tolerances are bulit it - an F15 wont take a beating for long until it decides to pack its bellhousing and go home

that pic above is my F20'd c20xe

It is a much better, more usuable gearbox than somethign that will do 125 in 4th!!!

It can pull like buggery in 5th
It is fully ace for 1/4mile....

Check out some of my vids to see how short the gears are....
