im extremly jelous of my parents
they jus made £220,000 in profit alone not total sale!! in the space of a year building our house and there going to do it again then build our final house and retire
i wish i had huge capital 
anyone on here buy n sell house's??

going into it late next year been saving the initail capital for a while now .My dad owns a company that manufactures windows,doors conservatories.He employs a builder.My uncle is a plumber and mate is an electrition.Ow and me cousin fitas carpets

yes saturated but for the prices that i can double glaze,add a conservatory,plumb etc.The conservatory and windows are at raw material cost

Exactly what I was going to say, there are loads of big time buyers about there who sell/rent their propertys. I know of a few people who own 20+ houses and who have sold loads and made a packet. Unfortunatly it's now a difficult market to break into as everyone has seen the potential!

i think its more of a fashionable thing to do just now.... a 'cool' job title if you dont like the real one....
One of Fee's mates was seeing this right 'plonker'. He said he was a property developer.... hairy muff
He was helping his dad do up a run down shop in an awfull area of edinburgh. They still havent sold it. This guy is 30 and works in telesales :/

i know where u lot are comming from but the market my parents are in is high end house's lol this one id say is the nicest in town and the roads full of doctors etc etc
high end market is where the money is not developments!!

True thats where the big money is but money can be made from letbys etc and sales on a smaller scale. Lot of hassle though if you don't have the contacts like anton has

£220,000 isnt a bad wage for one year (time it took to build and sell)
next house will be bigger hopefully get around the same or more at it

if u can get £80-100k scraped up either buy gorgeous country sites with planning or v nice house's in a well sought after development

They have their heads screwed on Jason, most self build companies will charge you 90k or so to build you a house, where as I built mine for 40k and the land was 55k, on sandstone with already plots there so didn't need planning.

yea self build is the only way.. lota graft but u cant be bad to the wages in the end
